BUILDING HEALTHY, CONFIDENT KIDS TWO-WHEELS AT A TIME.

Adventure Rides are all about fun, challenge, and discovery on the trails. Kids ages 10+ join our skilled ride leaders for half-day or full-day outings where they learn bike safety, trail etiquette, and the basics of mountain biking—all while exploring the outdoors, building confidence, and having a blast.

Why it matters

Cycling gives kids more than just wheels — it builds health, confidence, and freedom. But bikes, repairs, and safe trails are expensive, and kids of color and girls often face extra barriers in a sport where representation is still low.
One study of 1,200+ middle schoolers found that riding bikes boosted focus and mental well-being.

That’s why Adventure Rides are always free for kids and their families, with program costs covered by our school and youth-agency partners.

How it works

  • Schools or youth-serving groups contact us to bring the program to their kids.
  • Rides can happen at their location or on nearby trails.
  • We provide the bikes, helmets, water bottles, snacks, and all instruction.
  • Options include half-day or full-day outings.
  • Groups are led by experienced Ride Leaders with support from trained volunteers.

The impact

On every ride, kids gain:

  • A fun, safe adventure in nature
  • New biking and teamwork skills
  • Positive connections with peers and mentors
  • A sense of confidence that carries into school, family, and everyday life

Adventure Rides make the outdoors—and the cycling community—welcoming and accessible for all kids, no matter their background.
